In 1999, as part of a promotion for The Blair Witch Project, I wrote the text for a website called P.A.R.O.D.Y., which satirized anti-goth sentiments that were then somewhat common. In the intervening years, the site has inspired a steady stream of flames (and a few accolades). Starting in January 2006, I have begun posting them for your reading pleasure. They are unedited except to make them anonymous.

Subject: wow

Wow what a relief... I actually genuinely believed your site was serious until you know I saw the warning about smearing the blood of Christian babies on doors...hehe. I just want to say that your portrayal of the average everyday anti-goth / anti-everything that isn’t of Christian morals hypocrite was really, really accurate. It’s hard to believe there are actually people out there who are like that isn’t it? Thanks again for completely splitting my sides J
